Proactive Tip: Try tummy time on different surfaces, like a soft mat or blanket. New textures and angles keep things interesting and help build strength!

Vaccines & well-child visits

Here’s what’s coming up in month 3 during your in-person pediatric visits:

The 2-month well-child visit:

Your pediatrician will:

• Monitor your baby’s growth (weight, length, and head circumference).

• Go over developmental milestones with you.

• Answer any questions you have about sleep, feeding, or behavior.

Vaccines:

Your baby will receive their first round of vaccines, which include:

• DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis)

• Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)

• IPV (Polio)

• PCV13 (Pneumococcal)

• Rotavirus

Tip: After vaccines, mild fussiness, a low-grade fever, or swelling at the injection site is normal. Keep infant acetaminophen on hand, and follow your pediatrician’s advice if needed.
