How can I add my spouse to my account?

You can add a spouse or sponsored caregiver to your account so that they can view all of your children’s pediatric care directly through Summer Health. Once you login to your account select “Account” in the navigation and scroll all the way down to the “Share access” section. Then, fill out the information requested and an invitation will be sent to an additional caregiver.

I signed up, but you now cover my insurance. How do I switch?

What is Summer Health’s refund and cancellation policy?

Pay-per-visit: Visits will be billed to your credit card after the visit is completed. If you are not satisfied with your experience, please reach out to help@summerhealth.com to see if you qualify for a refund. Please note: We won’t prescribe antibiotics unless we’re confident it’s safe to do so - and we’ll always recommend in-person follow-up when needed.

I am on Medicaid, but I don’t see my plan listed.

Don't worry—we're expanding to new states as quickly as possible! Join our waitlist, and we'll notify you when we’re covered by your insurance. In the meantime, we have self-pay options:

  • Pay-per-visit: $40 per visit. This is no-commitment, one time care. No insurance? No problem.

Can I pay for Summer Health with my HSA or FSA?

Customers can use their FSA or HSA to pay for "pay-per-visit" services only. We are unable to accept FSA or HSA for monthly or annual unlimited member billing. This is because HSA and FSA dollars may only be used for services that have been rendered, rather than proactively offered. Starting January 1st, 2026, this policy may change. Please reach out to us at help@summerhealth.com if you have any questions.

What will copays be?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a clear answer to this question. The cost of co-pays is dependent on your insurance plan, your deductible, and a few other factors. We won’t know the amount of your co-pay until we submit your first claim but it’s generally the same as what a regular doctor’s visit co-pay would be.

Care

Can Summer Health treat urinary tract infections (UTIs)?

Standard of care in pediatrics is to begin treatment for a suspected UTI after a urine culture sample has been collected. This needs to be done at a clinic or lab. Our pediatricians cannot prescribe antibiotics without the culture sample collected, even if there is an at-home urine test suggesting possible UTI. However, our pediatricians can help you determine if your child should be seen in person to have this test done. For a full list of what we treat and do not treat, please see refer to our site here: What We Do | Summer Health

Other caregivers may have digital otoscopes that allow them to share videos or photos of the ear drum with a Summer Health pediatrician during the visit.
